OK, so with the entire birdseye maple wood transformation happening with the W210 diesel (pathetic, I know) I had a couple holes left over to fill that will eventually be used for something. In the meantime, I needed to find something to fill these very unsightly holes.
The answer came with part number 202 683 1310 SWITCH COVER
This nifty little part snaps into place of ANY empty slot in your wood trim. Wherever it may be. It's a cheap part too, I think I paid $13 shipped for two of them.
Matches the contour of the buttons already in place and all. Looks factory, obviously....
Much better! Now I can live with myself having a couple empty slots. The pieces are fairly stout plastic, so you can use them to add your own switch to without destroying any wood trim.
