If you own a diesel, please block your EGR.

This particular engine had 206k miles of EGR functioning. EGR DOES NOTHING BUT CLOG UP DIESELS!! Block it, put a ball bearing in the vacuum line, do something to stop the EGR from functioning on your diesel Mercedes.

Recently did the glow plugs on a rod bender 3.5L, after removing the cross over tube this is what I found.

Okay, that's not tooo bad, but what about the EGR dump pipe?

Yup! How's that for totally restricted flow? You can see my EGR block off plate installed, so this won't be happening anytime soon for this engine. Happy pipes = happy engine.

Here's all the carbon reamed out of the glow plug hole #2 after one pass with my reamer.

So, lesson here? Block your EGR.

Nothing like warm weather as a motivator

Warmer weather is around so I've been more and more motivated to get some work done. I have a lot of parts sitting around, so in the name of making space for myself to work in and slowly chip away at a lot of different projects, I started putting everything together.

Today's project was to organize and pair the senza pari design intake manifold with my pallnet fuel rail. Fuel injectors will be put it once the new L28 runner o rings come in the mail. Going to have to finish it off with a Q45 throttle body/gasket and she's ready to put on the engine.

Not having a pile of crap all over an intake manifold is going to make life and working on the car amazing.

Got the phone app, we'll see how it works.

Just downloaded the app for my phone, so I'm curious how things will post from my phone.

Looks like the rear needs to come up a bit. That reverse rake

We're in the middle of April and it's snowing. Awesome.
